How is it February already?
The first month of the year seems to have flown by and I have spent some of it trying to rebalance things in my life by opting out of some responsibilities to create time for the things I really love to do. Last year was all about studying and house renovations and 2015 is going to be a little bit more about creativity.
Top of my list for this year is to find more time to read, quilt, sew and take photos. I started my first quilt of the year yesterday, I’ve got through several chapters of my first novel of the year (Wool by Hugh Howey) and tomorrow my sister and I will be starting a great new monthly photo project together (which I’ll share here next week) where we take a day trip to a location purely to take photos (Oh the indulgence!)
Of course I’m also filming One Second Every Day this year… One of the things I have learned through watching other 1SE videos on youtube is that one of the most interesting aspects when you watch a whole year is seeing the reoccurring elements of people’s lives, so I’m now making an effort to capture those aspects in mine. In January’s video you’ll see our daily dog walks (which will be interesting as the seasons change) a performance at the theatre (where I try and go every month) and one of the monthly meeting’s at my local cake club.
I know that these monthly videos seem to be over rather quickly, but the beauty lies in the sum of their parts when all twelve come together to capture an entire year in six minutes. If you are also joining in with One Second Every Day please leave a link in the comments to your own video as I’d love to watch them, if there are enough this month, I may do a proper linky next month.
