Theo has an outing with his nursery school today to see lambs on a farm. He was full of questions before he went. Which car would he go in? Would their be a loo at the farm? Could I go with him? (I wish I could, just for the photos!) and why did he need to wear his wellies?
Over the last few months Theo has grown up into quite a thoughtful and considerate little boy. He still bounces off the walls with boundless excitement and happiness about almost anything, but he can also be calm and helpful and polite. He will be heading to “big” school in September just a few days after he turns four and he is already champing at the bit. Any early hesitations we had about holding back because of his late August birthday have been completely obliterated and I wonder now how on earth we might have kept him entertained and stimulated if he wasn’t going till the following year.
He was particularly delighted to discover that he’ll be able to stay “a bit longer” every day, rather than just the two full days he does currently. His huge appetite for play, discovery, food and conversation seems to know no bounds.
Spring seems to be dragging a bit this year and I can’t wait till the warmer weather is here so we can have some summer adventures together, with trips to the beach and some dinghy sailing… it’ll all be here in good time.
