For the last six months we’ve been working with Iconic Lights as part of their ambassador scheme and it’s been great fun helping to show off some of their stylish lighting like the Giant George lamp and the lovely dove lamp we got for Alice’s nursery.
This month when they asked us to choose one of their range I knew immediately what we were after. Theo has recently decided he wants to share a bedroom with Alice and so after trying it out as a temporary arrangement for a week, we spent last weekend rejigging the room to accommodate them both and chose Iconic Light’s stag head lamp to go on the wall by Theo’s bed.
The light arrived flatpacked and you need to slot the various wooden parts together, a little bit of a challenge for me with my poor spatial skills, but something that Jim relished doing in about three minutes flat. The light plugs in to a normal socket and then can be fixed with a mounting plate easily on the wall. There is a switch on the lead which Theo can reach up to in bed.
It fits the room perfectly and matches the explorer theme we have (inadvertently) created. I also love the way the light reflects of the angular shape of the stag head and I think it’s pretty reasonably priced too at £40. Alice still has her dove lamp over the other side of her cot, so we have quite a menagerie in this room!
