HomeLifeProject – September

I’ll be totally honest and admit I’m feeling less than enamored with my photos this month and I’ve been sitting here this evening trying to work out why. Is it the lens I’m using? Is it that I’m distracted by a crawling baby? Was it the weather? My camera settings? I’m not sure.

I think we all have those moments when we feel in a creative slump and I’m feeling a little like that now. But away from that, this months photos still stand as a record of our evolving family life. On Friday night we had family to visit who left early on Saturday, this month Theo started wearing glasses and Alice is becoming an unstoppable bundle of curiosity who I spend much of the day reigning in.

I’ve stuck next month’s date in the diary already (1st & 2nd October) and I’m hoping for the time and the headspace to concentrate on challenging myself to produce more creative images next month…

I’ve been blogging for 11 years and making creative content for my entire working life. I work with brands on rewarding and original content creation, both on my channels and theirs and I’m a stock photographer for Getty Images. On this blog I share stories of creative family living as well as my photography and videos. If you’d like to get in touch, please email me. (link at top of page)
