I’m sharing my Me & Mine post a day early this month as I’ll be launching the creative challenge for April’s Home Life Project tomorrow. This month’s photo was once again taken on one of our weekend dog walks. They often seen to be the only time I can corral all the family members into the same location and if nothing else, it also provides an interesting visual tour of our neighbourhood.
Last Sunday we were out on the waterfront in Emsworth with both the kids on scooters for the first time, or at least attempting to have both the kids on scooters! Alice had got her second-hand 3 in 1 Micro scooter the day before and was still getting to grips with it, we spent an awful lot of the time juggling two kids, two scooters and two dogs and never quite having enough pairs of hands!
The weather in our part of the country was beautiful on Sunday and as it was Mother’s Day we had my parents over and a barbecue, lunch outside and lots of time playing in the garden. Though they aren’t strictly part of the Me & Mine Project, I thought I’d also share some pictures I took later that day too…
But back to Me & Mine! Here’s what we’ve all been up to this month…
Clare : Has been busy with preparations for the Country Living Fair next month where she is going to be running two chalk paint workshops, she’s relieved to have finished reading the 600 page epic that was Theodore Roosevelt’s autobiography (one of those books she promised herself she’d read) and is trying to work out what a photographer/guest wears to a May wedding (flat shoes she thinks!)
Jim : Has been doing lots of foreign trips with work, but still managing to take Macy up to London most weeks (which leaves Clare with just two children and one dog!) but is missing Nasville now that we’ve reached the end of our box sets
Theo : Has been watching his seedlings grow and thinking about eating homegrown veg later in the year, is enjoying The Faraway Tree at bedtime and both having and making a packed lunch on Mondays & Wednesdays at school (having a Yumbox definitely helps persuade him to do the making part!)
Alice : Has been keeping herself amused by seeing how quickly she can take her boots and socks off when she’s put in the buggy, this means she frequently does the school run barefoot! She’s also learned to say “Mummy”, has mastered the hand actions for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and is still loving her Water Babies swimming classes
