Home Life Project – August

If ever there was a Home Life Project post that nearly didn’t happen it was this one! We arrived home from two weeks holiday on Saturday night and thanks to delays at passport control at the ferry terminal, got home far later than we were anticipating, finally putting the kids to bed at 11:30pm. Making what would have been a long day in any circumstances, a really long day!

Still, a night’s sleep worked wonders for all of us and we were refreshed enough the following day to attend the annual Families Day event at Goodwood House. This is a lovely event held every year on the front lawn for member’s of Goodwood’s Road & Racing Club. You take a picnic, enjoy the display of classic cars and the kids can go on as many fairground rides as they wish at no cost.

Last year we took Alice along in our vintage Silver Cross pram, this year she went on all the rides with Theo and we’re noticing the changes at home too. She’s worked out how to climb out of her cot, so an already busy day also included two hours spent converting her bed and toddler proofing the room! Oh and one final thing… there’s a photo of Alice in the garden waving a flag, I’ve included this as she’s standing on a newly laid concrete base, which by next month will be the foundations of an interesting new addition to our garden…
