Home Life Project is back for 2018

This weekend I start a third year of the Home Life Project. Throughout 2017 I thought long and hard about whether I’d continue this year, but ultimately decided I just couldn’t leave it behind. I do it because it acts as a motivator for me to record my own homelife once a month and because recording every day unscripted moments is something I feel passionate about.

I’m useless at promoting it and I don’t run it as a linky to drive traffic, solicit comments or make friends, but because I hope out there somewhere on the internet are other people like me who want an excuse to take photos every month and a way to share them.

Looking back on the photos I took over the last 12 months has brought back so many happy memories and cemented why I do this project. I’m particularly fond of the little video I created of the year using a small selection of my favourite images…

So if you feel like joining me, please pick a day this weekend to capture your unscripted family moments and share the best 12(ish) photos on Monday when the link up opens on this blog. The dates for this year are below, but if in doubt the link up always follows the first Saturday of the month…

January 6th & 7th
February 3rd & 4th
March 3rd & 4th
April 7th & 8th
May 5th & 6th
June 2nd & 3rd
July 7th & 8th
August 4th & 5th
September 1st & 2nd
October 6th & 7th
November 3rd & 4th
December 1st & 2nd

One thing that I have changed for 2018 is creating a mailing list so I can send out a reminder to everyone on the Friday before every Home Life Project weekend. I’ve held off doing it for a long time as I didn’t want to spam people, but I hope one email once a month will be helpful. You can sign up for it below…

I’ve been blogging for 11 years and making creative content for my entire working life. I work with brands on rewarding and original content creation, both on my channels and theirs and I sell my images via Getty & Alamy image libraries.
